In the weekend we travelled to Christchurch in the South Island for the NZ Down syndrome Association Conference. It was fabulous! We heard loads of wonderful people speak and met up with old and new friends. The Link and Transition workshops for the people with Down syndrome ran along side our forum and at the end of the weekend they presented to us!

Also on the Saturday night we had a disco and there was around 30 young people with Down syndrome that danced the night away!

It is wonderful getting together like this as we have all came back motivated and boosted for the future.

So I am back and will get our Wellington Association excited about the up and coming events for the future.

Lily comes and hangs out with me every now and again and it is lovely. It’s nice having a girl around as I get abit of a testosterone overload with all of the boys in this house. I found Gabriel’s ‘Woody’ and she was intrigued that he alot to say for himself. Every time you pulled that string something came out of his mouth!
